Important health information - 2022

Published Fri 07 Jan 2022

COVID-19 cases are spiking across the Canberra region. This post contains important information about staying COVIDSafe at floorball over the next few months.

MASKS: The wearing of masks is now mandatory in all indoor spaces, unless you are actively playing or refereeing. Masks should be kept on for as long as possible before games, and put back on as soon as possible afterwards. You must supply your own mask; Floorball ACT does not hold a supply. You will be asked to leave if you do not wear a mask.

CHECK IN: Everyone must check in via Check In CBR immediately upon arriving at the venue. Please use the check-in QR code inside the venue door. Floorball ACT Committee members will be making regular sweeps to ensure everyone is checking in. Repeated failure to check in may result in disciplinary action being taken against you.

DISTANCING: Everyone must stay on the spectators' side of the court (i.e., turn right as you enter TAC, but after checking in,) until it is your turn to play/referee. You will be invited to cross the court with all your equipment when it is time for your game. To assist us with this, please leave TAC immediately once your game is finished; do not loiter and chat inside. The aim is to keep the unmasked players/officials and masked spectators/those waiting for their game separate as much as possible.

Attempt to maintain physical distancing (1.5m/5ft) as much as practicable.

ISOLATION & SICKNESS: If you feel at all unwell, if you are awaiting test results, or know you have been exposed to COVID-19, do not attend TAC. Isolate, and if required by the public health advice, get a test. We will be lenient with the forfeit rules in the event that players are missing due to COVID.
